Being Important

3 July 2016

If I was to ask you who, or what, is important in your business …what is the first thing that comes to mind?

Customers?

Great service?

Cashflow?

Well, although these are important, the answer that few people come up with instinctively is:

I am.

Being important doesn’t imply arrogance. It’s a simple statement of fact. We are the most important part of our business and we count, we matter, we have worth. Yet often we can forget this and put others first. Being important gives us permission to find our voice and ask for what we really need. Being important means that we can make decisions to enhance our own health and wellbeing.

Being important needs to be at the centre of our business.

This week take time to reflect on the question at the start of this piece. We can know that we are important.
